Good morning, this is your 88 second news update for Wednesday December 3rd on 88.1 Weber FM.
A man was arrested for fleeing the scene of an accident after he hit a 15 year-old girl on I-15 in Layton. The girl snuck out of her house to go to the mall and was struck by a car and killed while trying to cross the highway. Officials found him by his license plate which was left at the scene of the accident.
Four suspects were indicted and charged with aggravated burglary and first degree felony murder in the death of Sean Taylor. One of the suspects is a minor and the other three are on suicide watch. In local sports, the Jazz lost to Sacramento last 107 to 117.
A suicide bomber rammed his car into a minibus on Tuesday in Afghanistan killing 13 people and injuring 20 others. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
A pair of storms that swept through the Pacific North West left five people in Washington and Oregon dead and thousands of others without water or power. The storm also shut down major highways due to flooding and mudslides.
Debra Lafave, the teacher who was convicted with having sexual relations with a 14 year old boy was rearrested for having in appropriate but not sexual conversations with a 17 year old coworker.
